DESCRIPTION:Cople Christmas Switch On \nThis year starts a new tradition by bringing us all together to celebrate our fantastic village at Christmas time! \nJoin us at All Saints Church for a variety of artisan stalls selling beautifully crafted gifts and decorations\, from 1pm \nTake your time and wander around from 1pm to 5pm\, treating yourselves and others. \nFollow the signs across to Santa’s Grotto! (1pm). \nWarm up with hot chocolate\, mulled wine and mince pies ready to sing along with the Church choir and Sheerhatch Primary School (2.30pm)\, as we celebrate this festive season with traditional Christmas carols. \nTree lights switch on around 5pm followed by the village light switch on. \nThe magic continues with a children’s Christmas party held in the Five Bells pub\, Sports & Social Club\, 6pm to 7.30pm. Donations for the children’s party food and drinks will be welcome (contact heidirobinsonpc@gmail.com) \nBring your loved ones and gather around the Christmas tree decorated by children of Sheerhatch Primary School\, for the Christmas light switch on and admire our village in a new lit-up way! \nHappy holidays from Cople Parish Council.

DESCRIPTION:On the 26th May myself and members of my team will be at your local school in an attempt to ease congestion by dealing with obstructive and illegal parking at school times. We shall be there at the end of the school day but we will also be looking at completing speed checks in Cople as well as offering any crime prevention advice we deem relevant at the time. \nYou are more than welcome to come and chat with us if you would like to and tell us about any concerns or problems within the village. \nWe will continue to patrol in your area as we do\, as much as possible as part of our patrols before and after this event. SUMMARY:Cople and Willington Schools Merger
DESCRIPTION:The proposed merger of Cople and Willington Lower Schools.\nThis follows the decisions taken in the last year\, as a result of previous consultations\, to extend the age range of the schools and to become a federation. \nEvery school has a unique Department of Education number. By consulting on whether we become one school\, the legal process dictates that one school has to discontinue in order that we only retain \none number. It makes no practical difference which school ‘discontinues’ and which school ‘continues’\, as the schools will come together with equal status under a new name (chosen by \nyourselves and our local communities). \nThis consultation is led by Bedford Borough Council and they have selected Willington as the school to be ‘discontinued’\, but\, as stated above\, this is just a paper exercise so please do not be alarmed. We have been open about our plans at every stage and wish to engage with you directly in this important process.
