DESCRIPTION:The Friends of Cople Church \n \nWe are pleased to announce that the much-touted Gin Event will finally take place on Saturday 27th November in the Village Hall at 7:00pm. \nThe ticket price is £15\, for which you will get: \nA Gin glass to take away – so we do not have to do any washing up! \nA token for 1 Gin or 2 soft drinks. \nFood (pate\, cheese\, cold meats\, bread\, fruit). Feel free to bring crisps\, etc. \nTonics\, ice\, and additions (lime\, lemon\, etc.). \nA table quiz. \nPhilla will serenade you. \nFurther gin tokens can be purchased at £10 for 3 or £4 for 1 – there will be many different gins to try. \nSeating will be communal\, so there is no need to be part of or make up a party. \nPlus! Win the coveted Cople Flavoured Gin Trophy! \nThere will be a competition to identify the best flavoured gin made by yourselves. Entry is free\, simply requiring a 25ml bottle of your gin\, just showing the flavour (sloe\, blackberry\, orange\, rhubarb\, strawberry\, chilli\, etc.) You can enter more than one flavour. \nThe cost of being a judge is £10 payable on the night – you will have to taste the gins (an onerous task) and identify your top 3. The benefit of doing this is that helpers get free entry – you can still enjoy the event and eat and drink. DESCRIPTION:Ladies and Gentlemen of Cople\, \n  \nAfter a missing a year\, the annual Rounders Competition between Cople and Cardington for the “Bashes” trophy\, will take place on Cople Playing field near the Sports and Social Club on: \n  \nFriday 27th August 2021 @ 18:30 \n  \nThe Sports and Social Club bar will open at 18:00\, to take advantage of the athletes need to re-hydrate. \n  \nWe need volunteers to take part in the team for which entry or participation\, will be £5. All ages are welcome\, especially those who are fleet of foot and have good hand-eye coordination. \n  \nTwo years ago Cople thrashed Cardington\, much to their disgust. The fact that Cople provided the umpire had nothing whatsoever to do with it. But in the spirit of fair play\, Cardington will be supplying the umpire this year – it will of course make no difference to the result at all! \n  \nWe will also be running a cake stall\, which is of course the food of choice of rounders players. So if you fancy your hand at baking and wish to donate a cake please do so\, bringing it on the evening or dropping off to me before the day. (7 Woodlands Close). \n  \nFunds raised will be split between the Friends of Cople Church and Friends of Cardington Church. \n  \nSo please come along and take part or support\, eat cake and drink. \n  \nRegards\, \n  \nMiles

Jesus’ willing sacrifice of himself on the cross for the sake of others is\, for Christian believers\, the ultimate expression of the self-giving love at the heart of God. One man dies\, that many might live in freedom.
